SET Theatre, Kilkenny

Drama by Design provided specialist theatre consultancy for SET Theatre at Langton’s Hotel in Kilkenny, Ireland. The flexible venue accommodates live music, comedy, theatre, cinema, conferences and corporate events, with technical performance facilities supporting both seated and standing audience configurations. The project demonstrates our experience in developing adaptable multi-purpose performance venues.

Aldi Tasting Kitchen

Drama by Design provided specialist studio and acoustic consultancy for Aldi’s Tasting Kitchen television studio. The project included the design of flexible LED production lighting, camera and microphone systems, audio processing, technical infrastructure and studio control facilities. Our acoustic consultancy addressed sound insulation, building services noise and reverberation to support professional-quality video recording and content production.

University of Hertfordshire Film Studio

Drama by Design was appointed by the University of Hertfordshire to provide specialist acoustic consultancy for the concept design of a film and virtual production studio refurbishment. Our work considered the acoustic requirements of professional recording and production environments, supporting the development of a suitable studio design and technical brief.

Cardiff University

Drama by Design was appointed by Stride Treglown to provide specialist acoustic consultancy for the refurbishment of teaching facilities at Cardiff University. Our involvement focused on integrating appropriate room acoustic performance and noise control into the architectural design, helping create teaching environments that support clear communication and effective learning.

American University of Sharjah

Drama by Design provided specialist acoustic consultancy for the American University of Sharjah, UAE, supporting the design of interpretation and language laboratories and a green-screen television studio. Our work included room acoustic modelling, sound insulation strategies, reverberation control and building services noise criteria, coordinated with the architectural and engineering design teams.

University of Greenwich Teaching Spaces

Drama by Design provides ongoing AV and acoustic consultancy for the refurbishment of teaching and learning spaces at the University of Greenwich, including Grade II listed buildings. Our work encompasses AV design coordination and project management, acoustic surveys, reverberation control, sound insulation, building services noise assessment and testing, balancing modern teaching requirements with the protection of historic interiors.
