This state-of-the-art £55m building will transform student life at the University of Salford when it opens in early 2016.

The ‘Gateway Project’ will provide a distinctive, aesthetically pleasing entrance to the campus from Salford Crescent railway station. The building has been designed primarily for students of the School of Arts & Media, but there will be space for students from other disciplines to study there too. Facilities will include a main performance theatre, studio theatre, dance studio, two TV acting studios, recording and photography studios, café areas, rehearsal spaces, computer suites and lecture theatres.

Drama by Design is working on the final design with specialist contractors LSI Projects, Hall Stage and Audience Systems and will co-ordinate the works with the main contractor and project manage the works through to completion in 2016.
