Licensed Victuallers is a non-selective, fully co-educational day and boarding school of 900 pupils aged 4-18 based in Ascot, Berkshire. The striking modern architectural design of the school ensures that the needs of the pupils and staff are fully accommodated and the purpose built theatre is at the heart of the school.

The school was having issues with access to the theatre house light fittings for maintenance and to change lamps. Drama by Design were originally approached to design a gantry system to aid access, but we came up with a proposal to change all the light fittings to new low energy LED fittings which would not only solve the problem of lamp replacement due to their 50000+ hours lamp life, but had the added advantage of much lower energy consumption.

A bespoke fitting was designed to fit exactly in the existing holes in the ceiling minimising cost and disruption. Drama by Design managed the tender process and project managed the works through to completion.
