This was a brand new 750 seat theatre built on the outskirts of Manama in Bahrain. The theatre is multi purpose, used primarily for plays and musical performances.
Drama by Design worked on the acoustics of the building to ensure good quality sound reproduction. An acoustic simulation software program was used to predict the acoustics of the space and the performance of the proposed sound system.

Changes were recommended to the finish of the building to ensure good acoustics and once complete, acoustic tests were carried out to ensure that the finished building met the design criteria.

Drama by Design also carried out full commissioning of all the installed sound, lighting and communication systems to ensure that the systems complied with the specification.

This not only included a functional test of all the systems, but also testing of all facility panels and cabling infrastructure. We also tested the performance of the installed sound system to ensure that the coverage, levels and intelligibility met the specification.

Once our testing and report was complete we then acted as an arbitrator between the Bahrain government and the specialist contractor to ensure any outstanding issues were resolved to the satisfaction of all parties as quickly as possible.
